The Cornell Food Pantry provides free, confidential access to food and personal care items to Cornell undergraduate and graduate students. Food insecurity (a lack of regular access to food) plagues approximately half of today’s college students, and with the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on our students, access to food is even more critical today.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cornell Food Pantry is now serving an increased number of Cornellians. During this crisis, weekly deliveries from the Food Bank of the Southern Tier are not enough to meet the need and supplementary funds are critical to maintaining steady distribution to the Cornell community.
While the full impact of this pandemic is still unknown, we can say for certain that no matter how much is given, it will be used, greatly appreciated and is very much needed to help our students get through this crisis.
