Cornell Law School offers one of the nation’s oldest and most distinguished programs in international and comparative legal education. Our school has an outstanding faculty, a strong and diverse curriculum, internationally-focused law clinics, a leading journal of international and comparative law, and so much more. Graduates benefit from one of the best career placement rates in the country: first place for job placement at large law firms.

Our ability to shape the future at Cornell Law starts with annual financial support. It is not enough to attract highly credentialed students; we need to offset the cost of their education to yield a well-rounded and diverse class ready to lead progress in their profession and communities after graduation.

In the past, the Law School Annual Fund has supported:

Seven students in the International Human Rights Clinic worked on defense efforts by the Cornell Center on the Death Penalty Worldwide to successfully free women on death row in Tanzania. Both were victims of years of sexual abuse and domestic violence. And students in the First Amendment Clinic’s Local Journalism Project led the drafting of a complaint in a lawsuit in U.S. District Court on behalf of a newspaper claiming government officials had violated its constitutional rights.

Future priorities for the Law School Annual Fund include:

How Cornell Law will use future gifts at the following levels:

  • $5,000will support four summer internships in the public sector.
  • $10,000will bring a distinguished speaker to the school for a day of seminars and student interaction, enhancing civil discourse.
  • $15,000will promote experiential learning in one of our 27 clinics for one year.
  • $30,000will support one student’s average financial aid package for one year.

Multiyear commitments to the Law School Annual Fund are transformative!
