Support Cornell research

Research at risk

In April 2025, significant cuts to federal funding put vital Cornell research at risk. Many projects, including those that make our world healthier and safer, came to a standstill.

How your gift makes a difference

The university launched the Provost’s Research Resiliency Fund in May to help address gaps in research funding.

  • $1.8
    million
In just the first two months, the fund received $1.8 million in the form of flexible, ready-to-use gifts.
  • 22
    researchers
Collectively, gifts have already assisted 22 researchers who received award terminations.

Kavita Bala, dean, Cornell Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science.

“Research at Cornell changes lives and shapes our world, but just as important, it invests hope in a better tomorrow. Every dollar that supports discovery at Cornell brings our world closer to new cures, better and more ethical technologies and breakthroughs that build a more resilient future.”
